The story so far.......
Five years ago I became the victim of my own success. The busier I became with my mobile beauty therapy and massage therapy business, the less time I had to fulfil the orders that my expanding base of customers were placing. A nice complaint I know.
That’s why I launched the web site. Not only can my existing customers now place repeat orders on there, but I am reaching a whole new audience of women and men joining the ever increasing population of on-line consumers.
By selling skincare products on-line, I can arm you with all the information you need including; the ingredients of the products, their suitability for different skin types, and the ethics of the companies who make them. What I hope is that this will allow you to make an informed decision about what you put on your skin. After all, you are big girls and boys now. Oh… and I hope to be able to pass on the discounts to you. Nicetouch eh!
Moving from London to Oxfordshire in August 2006 has had me busier than a mosquito in a nudist colony. Commuting between Net-A-Porter in Bayswater, London three days a week - where I was helping them with a recruitment campaign and they were teaching me a lot about online retailing - then scouring around for the perfect spot to open the new salon, well… let’s just say it has been a challenge!
Gateway to the Cotswolds and an area of outstanding beauty, Chipping Norton seemed to be the natural choice. Of course it’s more importantly known for having the last fish and chip shop for thirty miles in the Cheltenham direction.
The grand opening of the new salon Nicetouch Contemporary Beauty happened at the end of February 2007 and we have been rushed off our feet ever since. The team now consists of Nikki Guthrie, and myself working full time, Gemma French and Sam Bushell work 3 days a week and Helen Walters has joined for 2 days a week, Jo Falck and Laura Dean look after the front desk, internet orders and appointments and Hayley Allen works Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays whilst she finishes her Level 3 massage training.
